More than half of Pregnancy Resources clients – 57% – don’t identify as Christian or say they have no spiritual beliefs. That matters, especially here in the Quad Cities. Our community is incredibly diverse, with clients from Milan to Myanmar, from Prophetstown to Pakistan with one thing in common: they have never been part of a church. They’re often unsure and facing real challenges in their lives.
They have questions. They’re looking for help. They’re open to honest conversation about the struggle of today and their eternal tomorrow.
When Pregnancy Resources and the Church work side by side, we can meet people right where they are. Women and men find practical support and experience peace, calm, and respect. They’re heard. They’re seen. They’re cared for. In that moment, hearts begin to open.
In recent months, there has been a flurry of couples and individuals who want to know more about our area churches and Jesus. One significant moment transpired in just the last few weeks. A mom asked why a staff member was so joyful. The nurse was able to share about her faith, and on that day, this new mom received a bible in her native language. Joy made it possible for her to begin visiting an area church.
As families are connected to a local church, the impact deepens. They experience not just services, but a real relationship. They see the love of Christ lived out in ways that make a difference. In a world where many feel lacking – physically, emotionally, spiritually – the local Church helps meet that need with steady presence and compassion.
Our shared mission field isn’t far away. It’s right here, right next door. Pregnancy Resources serves as a bridge, and the Church makes a way forward, providing both practical help and lasting hope.
