God makes a way when we least expect it. Pregnancy Resources is honored to be a part of His plan to bless others in their time of need. Did you know that with your financial support Pregnancy Resources gave out 4773 items to clients in need in the first 4 ½ months of this year? Everything from diapers to formula, from vitamins to anti-nausea drops, from New Baby Gift bags to car seats, and most important of all, prayer. We gave it away to meet a need and make a way for our clients to see God in us.
Each of our clients come to us in their own wilderness situation. Some just need diapers and formula to stretch until the next paycheck or WIC disbursement. Recently a client came by in the later afternoon in her scrubs, clearly right from work, saying she didn’t get paid until Friday and was so grateful that we are here. Some arrive knowing what they need, like the couple expecting twins who said that they were just so grateful to attend classes during their first pregnancy. Even better, they’ll receive two car seats for completing 4 classes! Many clients are not sure what is needed. We can come alongside with anti-nausea drops for help in the moment of early pregnancy nausea or even prenatal vitamins to help them begin to care for themselves during the pregnancy. Some just need a listening ear, and we give them information about pregnancy options and pray with them.
There are clients who respond to our texts and come to receive a New Baby Gift bag or come in for pregnancy clothes to fit their growing body. Yesterday a young couple came in to receive their gift bag, both smiling and expressing gratitude for the items they need to prepare for their son who is coming soon. We are excited with them and for them. Last week I talked to a mother whose youngest daughter was pregnant. She thanked me so much for taking the time to see how she was doing with her daughter’s pregnancy. Whatever the need, God has placed us here at such a time as this to make a way in their wilderness.
